Prince guitar and more, interview with Kat Dyson

Long, slightly rambly interview between Thomas Blug and Kat Dyson, covers a lot of Prince related topics:

He also talks about guitar tone and pedals and things like that.

Thomas Blug is a German guitar player and electronic engineer, well-known among the guitarist community. He owns Bluguitar who make some portable all-analogue guitar amps which Kat has been using for years (she's mentioned Bluguitar gear on other guitar related podcasts such as No Guitar Is Safe).

I just watched this interview and I really liked how Kat Dyson talked about guitar tone and the feeling of playing music with Prince. It wasn't the dry, technical kind of talk; it sounded very genuine and like someone who's had years of stage experience.

Agreed, she's a great interview! She was also on No Guitar Is Safe a few times over years, last one was 10 years ago alongside the amazing Mike Scott:

I probably knew this and forgot, but I was wondering: do we know why Kat's stunt in the NPG was so short? Did she leave—and if so, why? Was she fired—and if so, why?

You probably knew this, but forgot that you meant to say "stint".
I remember someone claiming that all the guitar parts on the 'Newpower Soul' album were all done by Dyson.
Was it a credit issue hmmm

Welcome to "the org", nayroo2002… life, it ain't real funky unless it's got that pop
