, most Gen Zers don't like him or his music. Just look at Reddit and twitter. They could careless about Prince.

This has nothing to do with her. She doesn't have that kind of reach. Their argument is that his music sounds "dated" and when it comes to his personal life it's his "grooming" of Mayte and alleged homophobia that makes them uncomfortable.

Besides who cares, artists like Prince are like Stevie Wonder, it takes a certain public to appreciate their music. I don't see kids being into Stevie Wonder either. It's the kind of music you appreciate as you get older (if you weren't alive when they peaked).

I didn't say that JJ is the reason why Gen Z could careless about Prince. My point is that if she's trying to cancel the guy, there's no need because the majority of people don't care about Prince. Only his fans do. Also I call bullcrap on the belief that Gen z don't care about Prince's music is because of their age. The majority of Gen zers are in their late 20s to 30. They just don't have good taste, too busy listening to artist like KATSEYE "Pinky up" ill feeling ill

English is not my first language. And you're using emoticons which is not proper, formal grammar if you're going to judge.

But when I think about it, Jill Jones wants EXISTING Prince fans to cancel him over what happened between them and that just won't happen. EVER.

Kids these days lol.
Next thing you know they'll demand her to kill herself because of words.
Why not just ignore her like adults used to do?

I hate racists, but no need to cancel her (as that feeds her fellow racists)....

I just know she's a horrible person (by virtue of the fact that she's a racist) - That's enough for me.

and if she ever changes her mind and stops being a racist, then I'll be happy for her

r/PRINCE - Jill Jones problematic Facebook stories post

Yuck - That paints an interesting picture - to me, at least.

Prince beat on women and treated women abusively - Not to be excused, but the nuance is that he came from a really effed up upbringing with abuse and incest... lucky for him that he slowly worked himself back to something very different.

By all accounts, he was a very respectful kind person by the time he died - good for him. - It doesn't excuse the early behaviour, but there's progression.

Jill Jones was beaten up by Prince - not great and all my sympathies go to her for that - However, judging by this post, she's also a vile racist - yuck!!!

Nuance - all around!

What makes you think she's a racist?

It’s the 'these' that gives it away. It lumps a massive, diverse group of people into one bucket and suggests they all have the same inherent flaws. If you’re judging a whole race based onthe action of one or a few, that’s racist, by definition, right?.

imagine if she said...

"These Asians just can't help themselves can they?"
or
"These Jews just can't help themselves can they?"

or
"These black people just can't help themselves can they?"

I can't see it any other way

and my personal opinion is that racism is vile... so I would say "vile racist"

Because if we did that like-minded numbskulls might just elect her to office. In her case, city council or something like that. razz

I'm not calling for her to be cancelled but she needs to be checked.

I'd rather people speak out and give there opinion just to know there true colors and for me to know to ignore them.
Humanity will never be able to live a utopia where everybody is accepting of each other so not going to waste my time on chedcking people just because I think differnt or have another opinion than others.

She's a crazy wishy washy witch.

In the past she's used her 15% blackness against the Revolution (Wendy and Lisa) when she felt she wasn't included and once she was, she reveals that she's 75 % white and now it's all good.

She's also very dismissive when black women talk about colorism in the industry.

Only when convenient (like when she called out Prince for putting "white faces" at the forefront, without realizing that she was also one of them). That the beginning of me realizing that her brain doesn't work well.

Hmm... maybe it's the opposite of your assumption. "These" indicates specific individuals, to leave the word off would include ALL of a group, and that would for sure be racist. No?

That's a funny scene, for sure, but not apt here

A world of difference between "that.." and "these...." - Very different tone, very different intention as a generalisation...

But I will stop here now - as this is treading into hate speech, and very wrong.

You do you, and I'll do me. - No flame war here!! -

This is how I feel about all of this.
