With This Tear sound quality vs the leak Well, the leak from earlier in the year sounded good, but I had a feeling there was something wrong. Thousand Hugs and Kisses really sounded bad and I was worried the tapes were in bad condition. However, I compared the released With This Tear with the leaked version....the new release sounds a lot better. So, thank goodness b/c some of those leaks were a bit muddy.
Now, if they ever thought to put it out.

Soon, or already, Ai can/will be of some help I suppose to clean up old damaged tapes. Let's hope so. "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)

I noticed this too. The official release sounds much more polished and richer. The leak was probably of only roughly mixed tracks, sent out for approval of which tracks to include in the set (or something like that)

I agree. There's a high pitched string sound at the very end of the released version which wasn't there in the leak.

On stage at the Paisley event before the concert screening they lamented the leak but said their version sounded much better.
