LMAO. Five discs is a "mammoth set"? My dude, there are sets with dozens of discs for artist who have sold a fraction of Prince's sales. There are artists where entire tours get released on disc.

Considering the amount of previously unreleased stuff on them, they are pretty inconvenient sets. Something the size of a coffee table book with 3 or 4 discs worth of new material is a mammoth set to me.

All I'm saying is that a "superdeluxe" edition of a Prince album is far from ideal. Out of 7 discs from D&P just 3 are dedicated to previously unreleased vault material. The other 2 live discs are redundant, having the video on bluray. Out of 8 discs from SOTT just 3 are dedicated to vault material, and then two live discs. Out of 5 discs from 1999 just 2 are dedicated to vault material, and then a live disc.

And things are worse if we consider the vinyl versions, but that's another argument.

What I'm pointing out is these are rather inconvenient packages (with the possible exception of 1999) that justt don't have that much previously unreleased stuff on them considering their size and price.

I'm kinda baffled that they "announced" two things before April (as far as "something WRT 3121 in the Fall" and "something WRT Parade" are announcements). Of course it is all vague as shit and both announcements were technical fuckups, so who knows what we'll get.

I'm baffled about no mentionm about the Emancipation 30th anniversary, 'the album he was born to make'. Or maybe around november a little MSpaint picture messed up with Movie Maker?
