All fans are "older fans" when you're a fucking child.

Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain.

there is room for everyone, new and older fans of Prince."
-
That small load group IS his loyal fanbase, you stupid. Thos keep on giving a flying fuck.
And not like a younger audience only buying t-shirts and bedsheets from Prince's only 1984 release you're milking like a dead cow.
-
Dear Estate, when does AI kick in your money grabbin' brains, to make a Purple Rain II album?
And milk that, with a part II musical and more bedsheets and coffee mugs.

By the way, that Londell tweet :

Thanks for the transcript of the tweet. All I can say is "wow". This Londell guy is so stupid. In just a few short sentences he shows himself to be a complete and utter moron.

"Unwarranted criticism". With how they've been running things of late, this joker thinks any criticism has been unwarranted? And I've got news for him. It's not just a small group of older fans. It's a pretty big group of fans, young and old, who think he's doing a shitty job.

And of course we want all the music to be released now. What fan wouldn't want that? But we don't expect it. What we do expect though, at the bare minimum, is for some coherent plan to be put in place for the release of vault material and for that to be communicated to us. If they did at least that, they'd have a lot less criticism coming their way. And it would be a much better look for them to do that instead of insulting the very few remaining people left in the world who are actually willing to give them money for this stuff.

X feedback (just the first posts):

you clearly say that you will not open the vauly. Ok. wouldn't that be fun if
some if these "older fans" you despise decided to stop playing by the rules
and put online the hundreds of unreleased songs and thousands of hours of
live recordings they have on their hard drives ?
- Frederic Dumeny

---

We don’t expect all unreleased music to be released at once, but you could at
least release something, especially since it’s been over two years since the
D&P SDE. You couldn’t even bother to include a live show with the ATWIAD
Deluxe.
- Mirvmn

---

"All music released now"? You haven't released anything significant from D&P
SDE. And it was an old project. You promised an online store for vault music
during the celebration: where is it? Check out Peter Gabriel on Bandcamp.
- fabrizio venerandi

---

As a Bruce fan as well as a Prince fan, releasing too much like the boss did was
overwhelming in a bad way, don’t release 6 cds like he did but I think releases
have been lacking, slow & that’s very frustrating, don’t see why a random
show cant be thrown onto YouTube now and then
- Crackerman81

---

Its the older fans that went to the gigs, it's the older fans who bought the
physical media, and still want to. Of course, everyone is welcome, but realise
what you have and what you should be doing with it.
- Boscho

---

Not all, but something… anything… we have money and we’re getting old. Are
there any plans to put out at anything for the fans who have been there from
the start? You know, the people who made Prince’s estate worth what it is to
you now!
- BountyBob

---

I wish for sincere communication from the Estate. U said the Vault is free, but
why don't U release anything? My christmas money went to box sets by
Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Bob Dylan & Bruce, I would have preferred to
spend it on Prince. Still waiting for the 87/88 aftershows!
- manuel friedl

---

Ok, instead of “all,” how about “some”?… - Son of O'Dell

---

Spin it all you want . All the criticism is warranted .You have the greatest artist
to ever hit the stage yet you choose to slow drip fans with what YOU see fit to
release which has been little to nothing. It’s a lack of vision, abilities or both or
sadly just out of spite.
- jboogie

---

I am 24 and will tell you I think you're making the wrong decisions in a very
deliberate and asinine way. I could also tell you this is a mischaracterization of
the criticism you constantly receive (for better or worse...) and again I think
you know that.
- lost % found

---

it's not a small group of older fans, it's the overwhelming majority of the
fanbase and the criticism is completely warranted
- Stourley Kracklite

---

That's fine. But more can be done that strikes a balance. I think we'd all like
some reassurance that is being worked on. Particularly live shows, rehearsals,
that kind of thing. Right now, the bootleggers are taking money away from
the estate.
- Matt R

---

That’s fine but you have seriously flogged the shit out of Purple Rain. You do
realise how many albums Prince actually released don’t you ? Including the
songs that didn’t make the album cut ?? The path that you tread stinks of
George Michael and Sony Records vibes…
- Stuart Hoult

---

Hey there! Thanks for the reply. Agree the need for fans of all age groups
especially younger ones...maybe moreso the younger uninitiated? Not going
to lie..I am an OLD fan & yes I want the vault floodgates to open now!🤣...so
hope 2026 is a good one!
- Jav

---

I think that Prince is a bit of an exception in that you have a cohort of “casual
fans” who like Purple Rain and the hits and you need to engage with them,
and grow that .Then you have the “true blues” like me who were fans from
the 80s who stuck with him. You need to keep both
- Andrew Middlemost

---

The Stranger Things feedback is very cool. But you just give your
authorization. There is no real work on working on P legacy here. The vault is
free from Netflix but not from you. Be respectful with the old fans please, we
buy music, we don’t just stream couple of songs.
- npg2000

---

Oh give it a rest. The guy has been dead ten years and you’ve done nothing in
that time but fill your own pockets. You are a stain on his legacy. Do us all a
favour and leave!
- Plinky

---

You sit on a mountain of gold like Smaug, not letting the fans hear (and buy
from the Estate) the songs that you and us love.
- Pawel

I cabn;'t post to X for some reason but I wanted to post:

As one of the older fans who respects Prince, hgis work and his legacy, I would just like to see the suits gone from the Estate that Prince warned us about who were destroying music and teh business behind it, you know, lawyers, accountants etc.
Why not hire professionals to oversee the Estate instead of haveing these liars, who pretend they are following Prince's wishes or what he would have done or liked, but instead are destroying Prince's work and his legacy that he built with his loyal and passionate fanbase over almost 40 years that they could maybe consult or cooperate with? (And I'm not tgalking about these low-life non-fans like Cassey Rain.)
Now they're just dumping his music in bad TV shows that Prince would have never allowed (especially not his Purple Rain music) and are pretending they are doing what Prince would have done, these fruitcakes are the Thieves in teh Temple Prince warned us about. Next will proabbly be the inevitable Maxipad commercial with Blood on the sheets blaring behind it?

At the latest Celebration during the listening session, Charles Spicer said : "You will hear those songs again". Yes, of course : at the next Celebration...for those who can afford to spend thousands of $. Just to hear them ONCE lol

The fact that he's still using that pedo-Nazi platform as his main channel of communication speaks volumes.

Everything he says is in such bad faith.

Fingers crossed they actually have a plan (and then follow through with it) for 2026!

Although the rumours and impression you get from Londell's tweets don't bode well. He's clearly focusing on later material, not the Warner days.

He's focusing on nothing except filling his pockets and has been sticking to that since 2016. He could care less about Prince music.

I wish he was focused on later material. I wish he was focused on ANY material. Unfortunately he seems to be focused on patting himself on the back for a job well done while the rest of us look on in bewilderment and wonder how this clown got the keys to one of the most sought after treasure troves of unreleased music ever compiled.

This is a situation in which THE ESTATE could garner incredible goodwill if they just dropped a couple of "surprise" shows (even partial shows or rehearsals) for free on Youtube. There is no reason to sit on dozens of live shows to slow drip/or become "lost" over the next 25 years. Show us you're giving us at least SOME consideration for all the years of support.

Also... someone in THE ESTATE's sphere of influence might want to explain to them that it is 9 to 25 times easier to get money from repeat customers than it is to get from a new customer. New customers are shiny and attractive, but repeat business is where the money is MUCH easier made. This guy is truly looking at feedback incorrectly. Feedback that he's labeled as "unwarranted criticism" is attached to a lot of earners that have already proven they will ACTUALLY (not theoretically) spend money on Prince. "Older fans" money is here to be had... if you give us something at least reasonable to spend it on.

Come on, guys (at THE ESTATE). It shouldn't be this hard to spend money supporting your favorite artist. (And you're making it very hard... confused)
