Something I never notice until last night in Purple Rain

when Prince is at the piano working on Wendy and Lisa's "Slow Groove", I noticed a pair of ice skates in the hallway.

Well, it is Minneapolis, after all. 🥶

I think the basement scenes, wherever they were filmed, felt gritty and real. The skates were just one of those elements.

More than jelly up there, too! Listen, you live in a snow-bound state like that, I guess you learn to plan ahead for catastrophic-esque conditions.
