Parade Deluxe Is it true that the current plan for Parade is an ATWIAD Deluxe style release with no previously unreleased material? https://x.com/baron3121/s...Gtg75gsO4w

I wouldn't be surprised if it's true but it's not confirmed as far as I know. U are now an official member of the New Power Generation

Hopefully! I’ve been informed that my opinion is worth less than those expressed by others here.

It will probably be the default option if the estate can’t get its act together and gather all the material needed.
Hopefully they want to get it done and do the work!! [Edited 12/24/25 22:49pm]

If true, I’m starting to wonder if the estate wants to wait until the Netflix doc is complete before opening the vault properly, so as to generate more interest beyond the dwindling diehards. I can’t think of any other reason (from the estate’s perspective) why they wouldn’t use these releases to get the vault material out there. They could have thrown another disc (the minimum) on ATWIAD (much more according to Neversin), and we didn’t get one track. They could and should go above and beyond for Parade. I never thought I’d boycott a Prince release.

This is way they will release remastered reissues. The vault material will be handled separately.

welp .. maybe we will get a nice leak of the parade deluxe like we did with diamonds n love .. parade sde was rumoured to be complete and ready to go ... and if the estate stiffs us again it could come out through other channels ... dnL sounded unremastered to me .. i hate the remastering .. sounds tubby .. often the leaks sound much better anyway .. its nice when the bootleggers fill in when official channels neglect their archival duties .. I can't imagine having access to all those files and not even throwing up a download for the fans to purchase .. like put a track on bandcamp or something .. it's not that hard ... yeesh

Surely the estate knows that there'll be a riot if they dont give us a superdeluxe of the Parade era...its a huge favourite among fans...not just the album but the hit n run tour was fantastic...if we dont get a live bluray and vault material cd/s they might as well give up and sell the vault to someone who actually knows how to run things [Edited 12/25/25 7:24am]

If that’s really the case, some communication from the estate would be nice, rather than half-assed releases that completely eschew the format of the previous format that the other estate managers had adopted, with zero explanation. It comes off as, “Yeah, we know what you want, and have what you want, but here’s less. Enjoy. Or don’t.” Who wants to do business with that type of outfit? If it’s an issue of cost they could easily do pre-orders and only print the amount of copies people actually buy, with a limited amount for retailers. As many others have pointed out before, far less commercially successful acts have been able to put out far more comprehensive releases and seem to have no problems. And the estate could’ve easily made mention of the plan to handle the vault material separately at the last celebration, where fans were actually paying a shit load of money for a town hall with the estate managers to hear what was next.
