A box set of all the unreleased Come and Gold era CD-singles would've been something. [Edited 10/2/25 20:31pm]

I'm happy about this. This edition will likely be less vulnerable than previous singles box sets to people sniping off copies and reselling them on eBay at extortionate prices. It will also be less vulnerable to :the tariff war markups. While the set contains nothing new music wise, it looks great and will be welcome in my collection.

It IS nothing. I don't buy anything on vinyl.

It is actually worse than nothing, because that means they're wasting time and energy on that stupid medium instead of something more productive.

It's funny they'd put the video version of 4TTIYE there, but not with the album. Not that we needed a remaster, since it was already properly mastered for the 1993 release, but it's odd nonetheless. A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

Can I be honest? How ugly the colours choises are of the vinyl singles, as presented. Noting orignal, nothing daring, even the box itself... (no idea how the box back looks like, or the inside, probably just white) [Edited 10/3/25 20:43pm] "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)

And I really like the cover for ‘4 The Tears In Yours’. I agree, not sure about the other colours for the vinyls, though. I thought the boy with the balloon was missing from the deluxe release, so I’m glad it is included on the singles box (I’m still unsure of the origin of that artwork, perhaps Doug Henders knows?!). There may or may not be something coming!

Speaking of the boy with the balloon, I always wondered why this was, if I'm not mistaken, a sticker on the original LP, making it de facto absent from other formats and later reissues, thus not part of the cover at all. Kind of the same problem with the symbol on the Symbol album, which went missing after the original print, but at least there was a reason for this choise, i.e. to have this fancy thing on the CD and cassette's plastic case. For ATWIAD, I can't see any reasoning except maybe that Prince did NOT want the boy with the balloon to be part of the cover art, and only consented to add it on early prints for marketing reasons, so that his name would appear? Anyone has a clue? A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

Seems like most of the characters on the cover are either band members, other popular musicians or direct references to song lyrics
Just a thought

Or, maybe the boy with the balloon was just a Laura Lipuma/WB idea? To indee make the "Prince & The Revolution" brand more visible?

It would have been great if they used the7” single artworks for the original French editions; they really popped for me visually .

Er, I think I’m mistaken, on closer look, and after all these years, is it actually a red-headed girl with the balloon? There may or may not be something coming!

It doesn't make up for the lack of extra material on the album reissue, but I think this is still a nice little set, with the exclusive 4TTIYE 7" and all. .
Both versions are on the remaster, unless I misunderstood your post(?)

I think this is actually quite cool... I wonder what the edition of this box is? A couple of 1.000s?
Will see if I can get this somewhere in Germany as well...

exactly, the amount of produced sets is unclear no 1985 sets for example, whatever "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)

The song, ‘Around The World In A Day’ has the lyrics, “ Around the world in a day, all the little babies, sing around the world”, so it could be in relation to that! By the way, I saw in a post on the Steve Hoffman site that Rough Trade UK have the price up for this singles set: £104.99 https://www.roughtrade.co...4369867083 There may or may not be something coming!
