The Estate needs to see this. This really sums up the new ATWIAD release.

They're not gonna listen. They haven't listened to any criticism or suggestions during their 2-3 years in charge, no matter how tame or sugarcoated. Only way they'll ever learn is for people to stop giving them money, period. No money for reissues, no money for Celebration tickets, no money for Paisley Park screenings.

Wow! Scathing review of the design, nothing deluxe about it. "purplelectricity whenever our bodies touch"

The balloon boy on the cover was a sticker on the seal of the album, not on the actual cover. Therefore, not part of the actual artwork itself. It was added to the CD release later on - but that was not as originally intended. . I see they tried to reproduce the original vinyl artwork with the flap, but obviously that doesn't really work in this format as it shows on the video. Maybe, if they printed the whole thing on thicker cardboard it would have been more robust and it could wrap better, don't know... But end result feels rather cheap except for the silver-ish foil (which personally I'm not that sure it actually works aesthetically-wise with this artwork) and in the end is not a practical package at all. Oh well... . I'd have way bigger complaints like the omision of previously unreleased vault tracks or video to go with, and the reported quality issues of the speed and/or pitch of some of the B-Sides. . Just waiting for a price drop in coming months after the Christmas season to get this, for the moment they are not getting my money.

He didn't talk about the booklet... what's up with that? "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)

Cool.
He only took 12 minutes to make one salient point that he could've made in 30 seconds, and managed to throw in at least two pieces of confused misinformation along the way.
What a dumpster of a video. And from a guy who doesn't even particularly like Prince or this album!
I want those 12 minutes of my life back.

exactly. But he likes SOTT. "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)
