If not mistaken, now we have all B-sides, 7" & 12" digitally released except for :
"Anotherloverholenyohead" 12"
"Mountains" 12"

Fingers crossed for a "Parade" SDE around end of 2026 (I think).

Don’t think Sexy Dancer (Long Version) 8:50 has a digital release!
There may or may not be something coming!

Ah ah, I was sure about this question.
"Sexy Dancer" 12" was released on CD (Taiwanese compilation if not mistaken).

What I don't understand there is why Taiwanese people would assume superstars can't dance just like anybody else eek

Yep, I remember the heads up on this and have it on my wants list. But is it confirmed it's not a needle drop?

"Love Or Money [Full Lenght Version]" AFAIK is still missing on an official CD release.

True, but many of these are only available as ancient masters. We need properly remastered version of everything.

.

Also, I think T's 12" archive has some tracks that are not digitally available.

lately i'm marvelling at 80's bands like Soft Cell and Thompson Twins putting out definitive and exhaustive releases of catalog albums on various formats, rare live tracks, alternate mixes, etc.

Thompson Twins! who, to be fair, have a ton of hits in the U.S.- but rather than some same old dreck hits package, they do a rare live release, streaming singles with all mixes, remastered big hit album with most all mixes and configurations; and all this year. and last year. and the year before that.

and then we have The Estate...

.

It's a point I have been hammering for years. There are numerous bands who have sometimes sold a fraction of what Prince has and they are releasing extensive box sets with tens of CDs. Look at bands like The Grateful Dead (who have an 80 disc and a 73 disc box set), or King Crimson (dozens of box sets, some with around 30 discs). there's a 36 disc box set of Bob Dylan's 1966 concert recordings. Pink Floyd's Early Years box set (27 discs). There is a 32 disc Robert Fripp box set. A 32 disc Camel box set. A 37 disc box set by Caravan. A 50 disc box set by Al Stewart.

.

The example I use the most: there are two 5CD box set for The RAH Band, a literal one-hit wonder. Released by a label who has to license the music from a major label. Digging up outtakes costs money. Liner notes are written by people who are paid to do so. There are tons of photos which have to be licensed and cost money. These box sets have to be designed, which costs money. And yet, they released TWO.

.

But selling Prince music is not profitable?

There are many factors to take into consideration. First of all: incompetence from several leaders of the Prince Estate. Second: the high cost of Iron Mountain's studio services.

.

And let's not forget that most box sets on the market are produced by big labels, using their own staff, so payroll costs of those people (engineers, graphic artists, curators etc) do not burden a certain release directly, they are just part of an overhead that's spread across the hundreds of releases the label produces in a year.
In case of the Prince Estate though, if they only come out with one release a year, the payroll of everyone involved directly adds to the costs of that release and that can easily drive the release into the red financially. That's one of the reasons why they should've come up with a conceptual release schedule long ago, with far more frequent releases.

Friends don't let friends clap on 1 and 3.
