Kiss & Love or $ Extended on Spotify

Not groundbreaking news but happened upon this today - unsure of when they added.

Despite the sound quality it's cool to have these versions accessible on Spotify

I downlaoded the extended Love or Money the other day from Apple but I think it's just a very well done needle drop. There are kick drum drop-outs in some sections where the attack of the kick is missing. Comparing it to the vinyl version and the kick drum has it snappy attack throughout the song.

If you're referring to the original B-side from the Maxi 45rpm Single, yeah, it's been there for years.

Actually I think that Spotify was one of the first platforms to host a bunch of Maxi 45rpm Singles (I vaguely recall "Mountains" Extended was there, along with "Alexa de Paris"), must have been Rhino Records putting them up.

No expert here. Just my observation. Because I downloaded some of these years ago and not too long ago.

The (Kiss / love or money) 7" & 12" digital singles have been available for many years on different services. It also depends on what country / region you live in. The 12" digital was not available here in the USA. But after the OG poster made this thread, they are right! The 12" single is now available on a multiple services that I checked (USA sites)

But as noted the the quality of Love or Money, sounds like a vinyl rip

I listened in good headphones and it’s totally a vinyl rip- very apparent during the breakdown in “Kiss”- hiss and crackle. Disappointing, it the sound is good enough for some casual listening….

I’ll be glad to get them in the quality of the new ATWIAD 12” releases.

In Europe (France), I can confirm it's truly been a while, some 12" were on Spotify way before all albums were made available.

They were among the first Prince records published on Spotify, at least in France.
