I think you can see a good part of his peda lboard in Teh Undertaker movie and I think he always had a original Whammy and later also used a Whammy 4.
Teh first time I heard a Whammy was in Can't Stop this feeloing I Got and I went looking for one but after a week just playing around with it threw it in the closet for 20+ years

the rubber padding of the footswitch had melted over teh casing but I could save it some years ago now actually play with it alot because RATM songs opened that thing up for me of what it can do.

You could well be right, but according to guitarcloud.org, Prince started using a Digitech Whammy only in the mid-2000's...

but at teh Amsterdam Paradiso shows in 95 he alrewady had a Whammy on his pedal board and a yellow Colorsound Wah (in the Undertaker movie I think he had the old Purple case for the colorsound Wah) all thos e dive bombs he did in the 90s on his symbolguitar he did with a Whammy

Does anyone recall the "Devil’s Music" bootleg (circa "Exodus")?
During the "FX Mic Check" they go through a bunch of presets.

I don't know if the pitch on the Eventide H3000 could be driven through a MIDI expression pedal, but seems plausible.

That said, the Digitech Whammy is very likely the culprit.

Yes, he had one mnounted in one of the studios and during the celebration someone asked about it and we were told he used it alot (like most guitarists) in the 80s. Steve Vai made it a household name so to say. My guess it;s just a Whammy he used ever since the late 80s when it was released.
