…but please, I beg of you America, let this be his last four years as president and keep democracy alive. I would really like to visit Paisley one day, but as long as he is in charge visiting your country is off the table. [Edited 6/18/25 11:33am]

Same feeling here. We have truly reached a level where dignity, class, integrity, manneredness and respectful communication has degenerated into officially using the word 'fuck'. Then walk away, neglecting every other question or comment. A foul-mouthed wannabe-king, but we already knew that from how he prefered to grab them by the pussy. It is even glossed over as locker room talk, which is the level we are at. A sad example and open door for other leaders of the 'fucking' same low calibre. I wonder what Prince's reaction would have been. Probably no reaction at all. Or what his next album would be called, and whether or not it would be politically charged/layered? Surely these times would not leave him unmoved, I think. We will never know. "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. Surely these times would not leave him unmoved, I think. We will never know. I actually think about this too. What would the likes of Prince think about how things are these days. Unfortunately, I'm not entirely sure that he'd be against all of Agent Orange's policies but I have no doubt that he'd take a stand against the racist rhetoric of the far right. With that being said, I'd guess that if Prince did address the state of things in his music, he'd probably have released a song or two calling for unity rather than something more direct. That's why I think someone like George Michael would have been far more interesting to hear from. He wasn't afraid to alienate his audience by saying something controversial about political leaders. Just look at his Shoot The Dog video and song. Now imagine that exact video with Donald Cunt and Putin taking the place of Blair and Dubya. I don't even think you'd need to change much else in the video. It would still make perfect sense.
