If SDEs aren't profitable, fair enough. But what will they release instead? If they ditch the SDEs, then they need a need strategy for selling music.

Now there's also rumors that they don't wanna do the SDE format anymore because they lost money with the last few ones, so this is confusing. We'll see tomorrow I guess...

Don't forget the supposed Rex aftershow to go with the Symbol SDE. If it actually happens, that could be the cream of the crop.

That was not said in the Q&A on future plans, nor was it in any of the other sessions, and in fact Charles confirmed after the Q&A session when I asked him about Around the World in a Day that it would be a SDE - he did not elaborate further than that.

Chastity was fully wrong unfortunately but he got something that was not the good info because in between something has changed (Plans of the Estate) and he thought he was fair to share....well ...thanx 2 him for the try...maybe next time ..he will be a winner !

( IMO > at this stage there will be no more SDE to be released i do think in physical format & for only few consommers ...the olders we are now for a majority (+ 50) will be much older in the ten years to come ah ah )

for the SDE of Lovesymbol...we can imagine his release at the appropriate time (or not)...this was not discuted by the Estate it seems (?)

I never believe anything until we see the actual official announcement and pre-order links.

Yeah, nothing was announced at Celebrations these last few years, so it's not inconsistent. If the ATWIAD SDE/Expanded Edition is supposed to be released this year and nothing is announced by the end of August, then I'll be disappointed (again).

Yes, a pre-announcement. As Kares (or was it someone else?) said, a proper announcement would include a release date, the actual content of the release, or at the very least a number of CDs, vinyls, tracks, etc.

for an artist as critical and prolific as Prince, Super Deluxe Editions are a must.
