Maybe they have (as hinted 2 years ago by someone somewhewre else) but we don't know the release strategy Sony and/or WB and/or Primary Wave has.
We only heard half the story from Lonny and Spicer, I truly hope for ATWIAD exapanded or SDE or whatever, so we'll see

The record companies don't have a release strategy, it's up the Estate to tell them what they'd like to release. Warner and Sony only advise/make suggestions and agree on the deadlines, release dates, marketing, etc.

Don't they plan the marketing and release date and everything once it is decides what the Estate wants to release? (I honestly have no idea how this works)

Well the Estate finally had their chance to be open and transparant about wtf they have done during their tenure (besides the obvious Netflix deal, musical).

Instead they announced what the previous Estate had done so far and they gave a buncha future ideas, without any concrete plans whatsoever.

Also do you really think the Estate wants to listen to Prince.org or other fans

If that was the case this panel was not closed off to VIP only; they would have joined this org or made an e-mail address available or made this panel accessible worldwide to all fans etc.

Therefore the criticism towards the Estate is legit.

You have no idea what they are doing behind the scenes and obviously hjave no idea what it takes to handle a Estate especially one as huge and messed up as Prince's. You just think it's demand and then that they jump especially for you. Oh, and they made some awful amateur artwork for it. But why did it take them months to release it? Why not mere days after the announcement that the vault is free?

Note that this was one of the songs in the not even an hour long listening session of unreleased music, despite the fact that this song had been released. And about half of the listening session contained unexciting tracks. That's the best they could come up with? The session was so uninspiring the thread about it on the Org died before reaching a second page.

There was a promise we'd be hearing those songs again. Three weeks later and not a peep.

They promised one-off releases at the Celebration. Any competent person would then follow-up on that with a release they'd prepared, but apparently releasing "Free (Acoustic)" had taken all of their energy.

It's almost July, so I'm guessing they're taking a holiday for the next few weeks or months, and then by September or so we might hear something about that ATWIAD release and/or that RSD release. Oh yeah, the geniuses have decided to have two competing releases at almost the same time.

And it's not just this year. They have been running the estate for almost three years. What have they been doing all that time? I'd tell you what I would have been doing: compiling projects. So that when the legal hurdles would be resolved, you could get in gear and get releases going.
