Are we just pretending that "La Vida Glamarosa" doesn't exist? smile I wish she would've pulled that arrangement out for this performance, since its a "Live Video Single". She's been focusing a lot recently about making more Salsa and Latin music, which is cool- But I was hoping maybe she would try and get some stuff from that "Fe" project out of her vault.

Screaming. Panting. Making Noise.

Agreed. The title track (especially the way it was done on "Arsenio" (and not found on the internet) was a monster.
I wasn't too thrilled with the last album.

There are some skin tone issues with that cover - her right shoulder is a different colour to the rest of her.

Agreed, the Fe version of La Vida Glamarosa is imo superior to the version that she's releasing now, which sounds more like the regular song, but more percussion heavy. The Fe version is much more "latin".

How long before she claims she wrote it? Her and Apollonia would get along great the way they rewrite history for themselves.

Not Sorry, but Sheila can kick rocks. Talk about not waiting until the body is cold... this heifer jumped on everything she could the minute ol' boy died.

Of course she did.

Well if anything, she knows how to manipulate his art for her gain.

No hate, just observation.

She's a sweetheart with legendary talent and musicianship.

She's also an observantly cut-throat businesswoman and the last 9 years made it glaringly obvious.

You can love the talent and her demeanor/image while acknowledging the truth.

It's the business. It is what it is.

Replace Morris with W&L and I'm with ya. wink Also, I hope Sheila (continues to) milk that song for every dime until she drops. More than deserved.

Calling a thing a thing isn't disgusting. It's the truth.

"This apple is blue."

"No it's not, it's red."

"That's digusting!"

Sheila is a manipulator. She has also been called out for raising all this money with her Lil' Angel Bunny Foundation two decades ago, but where did the money go?!

Prince called her a psychopath five years before his death and had cut her out of his life. She later said on Twitter (because I have the receipts) that she was no longer playing with Prince. Period, end of story. She was no where in those ensuing years, until he died.

Then she's giving every interview, walking to the memorial like the grieving widow (uninvited, by the way), and suddenly gets a tattoo of his symbol, plasters is all over her gear (why not before that???), and hosts that CBS Grammys tribute and purposely tried to shut out The Revolution. (It's only because Jimmy Jam - being part of the Grammy board - talked Sheila down from the ledge and had The Revolution in the show. Notice how she wasn't on stage with them, but she was with these C-list acts singing his songs? They performed twice, but only one aired, but yeah - let's let Miguel or whoever up there to butcher his songs. The show served her, not Prince's legacy.

She's continued to make up stories, and now attached her name to his music. I am still sorta on Team Apollonia when she called Sheila E., but Apples has to answer for that bullshit diary move on the Sunset Sound interview saying she wrote "The Glamorous Life" lyrics. Fink and others have totally debunked that lie. She doesn't need to go down the Sheila path of rewriting Princestory.

While I really loved Sheila's three albums with him and her presense in his band, she's really put a bad taste in my mouth and others over her self-serving shenanigans. So what is disusting? Not telling the truth, but that what we tell is the truth of it; that it's happened at all. That's what is disgusting.

My understanding was that WB said no to this, so it's sitting in their vault. Now why would they decline to finally put this (or let her put this) on streaming platforms, particularly since it's out anyways, IDK?

They certainly finally let go of Rick James' Kickin' and Larry Graham's Chillin'. Maybe Sheila would have to retitle it Fein' to increase her chances? And Chaka should retitle Dare You To Love Me to Darin' You to Lovin' Me so we can get it as well? lol

Or maybe Sheila doesn't care anymore for a 33 year old project?
