Which mix of Pop Life do you prefer - "Extended" or "Fresh Dance"? I like the Extended mix of course, but I can't help but the lament the exclusion of the nursery rhyme-esque part of the Fresh Dance Mix at 3:47.

The extended version definitely. It's truer and doesn't sound like a remix.
As for the "nursery rhyme-esque" aspect of the 'Fresh Dance Mix', the Parade Tour live version of 'Pop Life' (dig out your tapes) offers a much more enjoyable alternative than the one on the record. The vocal harmonies were much more interesting and varied in that live setting than they were on the 'Fresh Dance Mix' version of 'Pop Life'. . "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. the extended version is the only version of "Pop Life" I kinda digged, I don't like the album version too much either With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! I like both alot.
I only in the last year or so ever realised that the "Extended" version was not the same as the "Fresh Dance Mix". I would have to say, I like the extended one a little better. More lyrics, longer. | |
