If the estate were to follow Springsteen's example, what would we get? I'm sure most have thought how great it would be if the Prince estate were about to release 7 previously unreleased albums. I personally like this approach more than a SDE I think presenting the music as albums makes for a better listening experience and gives the music more of it's own identity. So what could be included in a similar Prince set? Dream Factory Camille Rave 89 New World Madrid 2 Chicago High The Rainbow Children 2 Hopefully there are even more unknown unreleased projects they could use Personally I wouldn't mind if they created albums from tracks in the vault, pseudo albums. For instance Heaven (A collection of previously unreleased songs from 1985) Heaven Come Elektra Tuesday Euphoria Highway Fun Love Neon Telephone Splash Evolsidog And How Call Of The Wild Empty Room Go

In your list I would include The Second Coming unreleased project such as the video footage of the concert itself and the few scenes that were filmed at Prince’s house meant to be segues between songs. I also like the approach of releasing albums based on curated playlists from a specific era. The first one I’d like to see is Prince’s first professional recordings done at Moonsound Studios from 1976, some of which include earlier version that would show up in For You. Aces Amber Eyes Baby Diamond Eyes Don’t Forget Don’t Hold Back Fantasy I’m Yours Jelly Jam Leaving For New York Make It Through The Storm My Love Is Forever Since We’ve Been Together Soft And Wet Surprise

What about the follow up to PR? Wasn't that the Roadhouse garden album? Right before his death, Brown Mark said that the Rev were back at Paisley Park rehearsing. Maybe he was going to do a reunion tour with them and release that album. Who knows? Just release it already!

What about the Jamie Starr album from 1985? If it really exists, that would be a nice inclusion on a set like this.

This is a good idea. I’d love to listen to Black Is The New Black

I suppose The Rebels could be included, since it is an actual complete unreleased album.

Maybe a release of the Black Album, even though it was taken off out of traditional music stores. [Edited 4/8/25 17:35pm] Shockadelica, she must be a witch

This posthumous record management had been done with Jimi Hendrix. It does not seem to me that his fans and music lovers were enthusiastic about it at the time. What was good was that they were getting saturated with posthumous records. I think they were selling, though; the stores were full of them.

If they were honestly genuine in their offering of unreleased tracks "Whatever skin we're in
we all need 2 b friends" | |

... It was never a proper stand-alone album until that. 'Camille' should be a stand-alone album, too. [Edited 4/8/25 18:35pm] "Whatever skin we're in

I know some of you are obsessed with his shelved configurations and re-sequences of material we've had since 1986, but really, a simple "Bootleg Series" with nothing but tracks **never before released** would be up my alley.

I sort of agree, in the sense that whenever we dream of potential relases, a lot of people seem wish for what we already know: The Rebels has been circulating for 30 years already, Camille -even if edited or mixed differently from the officially relased tracks, there wouldn't be much meat on it. When it comes to live audio and video, it's the same: Detroit'86, Dortmund'88... . Of course all this and more could be heavily improved quality-wise coming from the master tapes and given a nice mastering, but when I think of the vault I dream of totally unknown material, be it audio or video. There has to be TONS of stuff we can't even imagine up to this day in there.

I'm with you guys. . I don't get why people keep asking for stuff they've already heard when there's so much music we yet have to discover. . A Vault Series compilation would do just fine. Give us the unheard.
