Actually 1999SDE was announced in September, D&PSDE was announced in August and SOTTSDE was announced in June. And they were all produced by the previous regime, so we've yet to see what the current one will do.

This comes up soo often - I'll tell you from my perspective as a label product manager who does exactly that (releasing Deluxe Edition of already released albums) that this means A LOT of work, of course very much depending of how much work was put beforehand in a functional audio/video/artwork/photo archive. we all know that the vault was and probalby still is a mess.

Just that a record was already released doesn't mean you can just put the audio files on a CD and call it Super Deluxe. of course you can do that but it's shit. The released Prince SDEs have their flaws (a lot), but they still are excellent work.

just to sum up some of the steps...

- find audio / video / Photo / artwork stuff in the archive

- this is analog era: digitalize all the stuff. audio, video, scan pictures, scan artwork, handwritten lyrics etc. pp.

- clean it all up

- edit videos, mix audio of the video

- mix audio of unreleased audio

- Find master tapes of released stuff. Digitalize. clean up. remix if necessary.

- MASTER all the stuff - audio and video

- do interviews with band member, research on credits, liner notes etc.

- put together new artwork, photo book etc.

- do a vinyl mix/cut of the audio

- marketing campaign (that was quite impressive. for all SDE they had big features in german music press, limited edition 7" singles in the Rolling Stone etc.)

and so on and so on. Thats a full time job for a few people and takes at least one year per SDE trust me.

I am hoping for PArae SDE this year at least I hope we'll get the Love Symbol Deluxe!!!

There will be no Parade or Lovesymbol Sde...for sure at 101% this year but if we are very very very lucky ..maybe a SDE for PR ? [Edited 3/31/25 9:57am]

DE of PR was already released this wouldn't make any sense, only a vinyl release of the VAULT tracks that were relased 2017 are missing. They already released the Syracuse Live album as a standalone release, a PR picture disc, the move on ultra HD blue ray and the dolby atmos in 2024/25. of course we are all hoping on more unreleased PR stuff or a "Soundtrack" album featuring The Time etc. but I am very sure there won't be released anymore from this era.

We've discussed this already several times before. The "vault tracks" of PR-DE didn't come from Prince's vault, they came from cassette copies Warner had. The Prince Estate had nothing to do with PR-DE and there are plenty of previously unreleased tracks to be released from that period in addition to the vault tracks of PR-DE. And of course there's the 3 August 1983 gig that must be released on video.

Knowing these chucklefucks, they'll find someone to do an even worse remaster than the 2015 version. Charles might even take a crack at it himself since he's a self-proclaimed "producer"

Possibly Purple Rain. But more likely a Parade SDE toward the end of the year or early 2026. An SDE for ATWIAD would be nice, but there's so much cross-pollenation in 85/86, I think a lot of the extras are going to be on Parade.

I said a while back that D&P and Parade SDEs were done and on the shelf. D&P has since come out. So...
