it's fun to listen to isolated tracks but it's also kinda weird (and sometimes scary) to hear the vocals this way...totally stripped down without the music,bells and whistles of the finished recording.

I'm lucky enuf 2 have this entire file.

It is truly unbelievable how much material Prince buried in the mix.

The 2nd guitar solo near the end is my fav.

What a nice and interesting episode, too short though.

Hope they do second part.

Only, those two guys in the back (one with a useless guitar?!) don't add anything, and the 'deep horn' is not a-only wrong but stupid. It ruins the feel of the episode.

Let alone those childish fart sounds.

DO THIS :

- have an engineer or other (semi?)professional (=cheaper) or even some skilled fans do a deep cut of 1 song a week!

- official released songs only

- b-sides, songs for others, etc, also... those we have and know.

- no need to touch unreleased stuff even

- random choice songs

- a deep cut forty-five minute view, (or longer if needed)

- it would already fill up at least a few years of joyment for all.

- without it having to cost much!

- split it up : a free 20 minute post

- and a payd 45min/1h post, with even much deeper cuts

- via subscription ? ...why not.

- damn!

- take my money!

They're obviously not Prince fans (thinking the track was recorded live at a concert, having never heard the Special Dance Mix, etc.) and the constant fart sounds and other effects are in very bad taste.

That being said, I probably listened to those multitracks for 10 minutes when they leaked and never listened to them again, so it's great having some actual excitement around something that already exists (even though the video is 3 years old). Plus I never noticed Wendy and Lisa giggle. That was funny.

Deep horn sounds should be legally banned, this sound is the epitome of vulgarity. Everytime I hear this sample, I wanna run away in horror.

I think I still have those stems somewhere, but I don't think I even bothered listening to them at the time.

It's an interesting format for the Estate to consider, I'll give the OP that. I can see why it's interesting to people, one indeed does hear stuff (those groans Prince make between lines are crazy ), but IDK, so far, the Estate doesn't seem to be very interested in buiding an engaged community. Even a simple thing like this news blog on David Bowie's website (https://www.davidbowie.com/news), which is nice to check out every once in a while, they won't bother doing.

Although some of the descriptions are not entirely accurate... For the piano solo they say Prince supposedly played it with his feet! Really that was Matt Fink playing a random non-melodic solo at Prince's request and there you have it.
