I have posted this elsewhere, thought I'd ask here for pointers on this. Earlier, I saw some screenshots pop up on a public Facebook group showing PR-era unreleased files/titles, but have lost them after refreshing my Facebook by accident.

I'm led to believe these were shared recently from a private discord server from a trusted source... If anyone's willing, are there any places I can find the said screenshots? It even listed an unused 1983 take of "Jerk Out", the 'full version' of "When Doves Cry", "Be My Hero"...

If I saw it on Facebook in my feed, then it must be out there in the public somewhere?? Would appreciate it if someone's kind enough to DM it. I might even send it to Duane (madhouseman), he seems interested in the screenshot too. Thank you!

On the other hand, everything looks good on paper. I mean, perhaps some of those titles are just sketches, or very little different from the known versions to all. Of course I'd love to have a listen and own them, but sometimes not everything lives up to the hype of how it's labelled.

Then again, it's amazing to know this stuff is making the rounds even if within a dozen lucky collectors.

We are in March....i don't think IMO unfortunately from what i guess a SDE of PR will be released ...hope to be wrong but there is 0 sign there will be....at this stage i asked my record store this past days who just saw the WBR commercial ...not a whisper about something new at this stage!

The ‘Sugar Walls (TV Mix)’ that came out last year, I think as a Cherry Red re-issue or possibly just digitally (or both), was mostly an instrumental version with chorus and background vocals. Is that the version on the file?

No, the version in this is a propoer complete instrumental without any vocals

Any additional info on the full version of IWD4U? How much longer is it? Is it an extension of the album version?

Aboslutely no idea on these files, but the original live recording is a bit longer than what was eventually realeased, so I suppose that must be it after a proper studio mix like on the album (???).

It';s the longer album version we already have on boots with that extra guiytar break

To be honest, I use it on my phone browser rather than the app... Switching to another tab for a while then coming back to find it's gone from my feed, you know. It happens!

In fact the First Ave live recording was extended a little bit in the studio during overdubs.

The part where Prince counts the 'breakdown' and the synth wash happens... That was where it originally segued into "Baby I'm A Star", only lasting 2 minutes. Then in the studio, they copied some extra bars and edited that onto the end to make it longer... And with a little further trimming to that extended portion came the final album cut we all know.
