Boring and a little creepy. Early days of AI though. It will be interesting to see how far it advances in the next few years. Feature length films that look 100% realistic? Maybe someone will "AI" the First Ave Birthday Show? Finally get UTCM in color??

You could be right but even if they are 100% realistic looking they won't FEEL real unless you have actual human beings behaving in a realistic way on screen. AI will only ever be superficial no matter how good it starts to look. It's inherently fake. Artificial age indeed. [Edited 2/9/25 19:30pm]

No offense but it gets tiresome reading this kind of stuff over and over again. Why do so many people keep saying this? Denial out of habit, because it was unbelievable for most of our lifetime, until very recently? That old religious fiction that there is something unique in human beings? Denial out of fear of becoming obsolete? For one thing, there is no such thing as "feel" (which, the way people often use it, sounds synonymous with "magic"). There is what is, how our senses perceive it and how our brains interpret the signal. A perfect simulation will fool our brains just as much as the real thing. It's been possible to fool humans with some AI made music for over a decade. It's now possible to fool humans with text (ChatGPT passed the Turing test, which was absolutely unthinkable only a few years ago, yet here we are, it's done). It's already possible to fool humans with pictures and the best AI made videos, even if it can only work with very short videos at this stage. The uncanny valley won't last forever. Repeating over and over that we're "safe" won't prevent it from happening. Now, one can think it's good news or bad news, that's something else, but either way, it's happening, anf the longer we remain in denial, the longer we remain unresponsive to it happening. I agree with what you trying to say. I am all for good and innovative AI. - But this...... this video looks like sugar coated, wrong input given, sassy shit. Prince with a belt size of an Elvis belt, Vanity looking like a vampire. Prince's head is even beigger than his body here and there. And then this gurrrrlll... singing out of tune and rhythm. It's just all we need right now. It was a good laugh. Next! - I'll give it some time for good Ai is coming to us. Not some random fan made try-outs.
