IF we get a new PR 40 SDE this year (with the Celebration), then there’s hope that Parade follows in 2026. Maybe Symbol SDE in between. I suspect we’ll just get a few new tracks on Streaming though. |

While I think you're right, they've let the 40th anniversary of Purple Rain slip past them so maybe anniversaries aren't so important as a marketing gimmick anymore. Fans don't care and will buy regardless, and Joe Public no longer seems interested in Prince anyway, so will hardly be suddenly enthused by a 40th or 50th anniversary. Just hope SOMETHING gets released in 2025. |

Not that many, at least that we're aware of. Outside of the album itself and the b-sides, most of what Prince recorded during that periord between PR and ATWIAD was for protege albums. Between that and the PR tour, he didn't have time to record an abundance of ideas like he would in the next few years. |

How about some more Purple Rain variant records like “Computer Blue” and “Purple and Gold”! No new unreleased tracks, just the same that Prince remastered!! How about another 4k blu ray of the movie an a collector’s sleeve for the 41st anniversary of its release… but with no added features. Just a special remaster of the movie that Prince did! Unfortunately, I have no hopes anymore for anything good. |

I expect nothing next year...if we get anything itll be a bonus... I'd love to have a Parade Super Deluxe set...with lots of outtakes/live cd and a bluray concert...but yeah, I imagine the Estate can't go past another Purple Rain release...probably 'The Musical' with unknown performers and 'modern' rearrangements of the material The Symbol Album 'deluxe' is on the cards but who knows... Heres hoping they learned from the terrible amateur-hour Celebration experience this year but I doubt it...maybe the fans need to vote with their wallets... It seems so simple...the music and video we're all lining up to buy already exists...there's very little costs compared to making albums/videos from scratch...why don't they just release it? 1 album/set release per year can't be that hard...2 releases would be even better... most of Prince's fanbase are in their 50s nowadays- they'll miss an easy target if they don't get their shit together. |
