Just to make things perfectly clear, I'm NOT asking you where to look for them. I'm NOT asking you to provide a source for all these leaks. But I have seen similar comments from you in the past and maybe others on here putting the blame on others for "not knowing where to look". Rather than playing the "I know something you don't know" game wouldn't you feel better if you shared this knowledge with the 95% of us who don't know where to look? yah blah blah, I'm not playing your made up game and I'm not gatekeeping anything, Im jus t telling it like i t is. I know sevral places where to find the tracks but I don't hav access to them because I'm activley blocked from them by the person posting this kind of stuff and/or people won't share them with me. I only get to hear the some things sometims.
It's funny that the people in here and other (semi) public places who do have access choose to stay quiet about this. But point made, I won't post anything anymore regarding this stuff, ask the people here who do have access

Well, we all know a very well known collector who has pretty much everything Prince ever recorded. Does this mean that the recordings he has "leaked"? No, I don't think so.

Anyway, this thread is (at least implicitly) about widely available leaks, i.e. stuff that has appeared for thousands of people on YouTube, Discord servers, etc.

Can we agree about this definition once and for all?

And to be clear: I'm not saying that what you're mentioning is not interesting, but it's probably something for another list, i.e. tracks that are circulating among what is commonly referred to as "elite collectors". You already mentioned "Lactation" last year or in 2023 and it's not even on PrinceVault, so that one is definitely intriguing.

If someone has a leaked song, that person can easily share it anonimously from any made up email address, from a public computer, or whatever. Safe even.

It's all about greed if you ask me.

I feel here mostly, the older we get, the more intolerant and selfish we become.

In other words; conservative, suspicious and distrustful, preferably not allowing anyone else anything.

The Estate problems are serious, and choke us as fans.

But still as a community we're n,ot even capable of doing something 'altogether' to make it clear we don't agree with what The Estate does.

Instead, we all moan separately and over each other.

We have lost the energy of being young, being impulsive and daring.

We lost the entrepreneurial fight against something like The Estate as a group, to try to achieve something. (I tried it once, but the responses were cold.) We don't thrive on principles and beliefs anymore. That's all gone. It is what it is.

We sit on our fat asses behind our computers, longing for something we actually really don't care all that much for, but just come here to vent our 'old ideas'. IMHO.

I'm not even better than anyone of us. And, it's funny because it's sad.

I don't know if you realize that you're talking like a fifteen-year-old stuck in the nineties. "They don't know where to look on the internet"? Boy, I've been online since 1988, when the internet was still in its infancy. You're not talking to kids. It's not about "not knowing how to look" but about people who don't circulate material and don't have the good taste to keep quiet, but - evidently - brag about it. If it's a leak, a real leak, then you circulate it. The purpose of the leak is to make public something that was previously hidden or private. If instead you have your own private copy and you hide it and don't circulate it, well, you might as well get buried with it.

The three officially released "b-sides" from the Musicology era were the only songs i actually legally downloaded. The rest mentioned are still not in my posession, but listened to once or twice. It's just not as exciting anymore. Getting that 7th generation 'Parade Outs' cassette in the mail was everything back in the day!!!

I'm convinced we all have so much unreleased (live) material, even unreleased video, we've never fully enjoyed.

I speak for myself, i have a hard drive full of live material i still have to discover.

I'm not a great live music lover, prefer studio stuff, but still, I'd like to have more time to go through it.
