New piano demo jam > "No changes" (1987)

New little piano jam demo in circulation > "No changes "

https://princevault.com/i...No_Changes

"No Changes
is an unreleased track recorded on 9 July 1987 during Prince's first recording sessions at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota (on the same day as Melody Cool, two days before Graffiti Bridge and basic tracking of version 2 of Big Tall Wall and around the time of a re-recording of If I Love You Tonight, now titled If I Love U 2 Nite). It is believed to be the first song recorded during those sessions, marking Prince's first recording at Paisley Park Studios.

Ironically, and perhaps intentionally, the lyrics of the song include Prince asking for some change and excitement in his life. This song is the only one from these initial sessions not to have been released in any form."

PS> Not indispensable but cool little trax! cool

I think these light gems are so great and fresh.
Certainly popping up after decades of dust.
Sounds fun and like he has no patience smile

What's going on?

Charles or Londell lost their vault key?

100% Agreed. Tracks like this are the only way we're getting anything these days.

Hard to believe I've been on the org for over 25 years now!

This song was played at this years celebration, a version with full instrumentation.

Not this piano demo.

I read somewhere that the drums sounded like Get On Up.

Anyone more info on that?

(I never was at a Celebration.)

I've read the review from Casey Rain and he says the full version sounded like:

"a mashup between Lovesexy title track and Electric Chair! Aggressively funky"

Dammit, I need this fonky version! omg

Just heard a fresh leak, a 23 sec (bad quality) sample of;

"Face 2 Face"

Could this be a track from the unreleased Lovesymbol SDE?

Face 2 Face was on a possible tracklist for prince SDE that someone posted on the org earlier this year.

That's more time to work on that SOTT SDE review, then? (Just kidding.)
