Prince Official Store Black Friday "Sale"

And I use the term "sale" very loosely. The estate's socials are claiming a 20% off storewide sale and "up to 50% off select media". Meanwhile, most of the store's items have no markdown whatsoever, and aside from a handful of decent discounts, most of the media is marked down by the laughably low amount of one dollar.

This is the estate's idea of a great Black Friday sale to entice the fans to open their wallets. This is "Make Millions" McMillan's idea of good business. And yet some people here still think we owe them more time and chances to prove themselves.

Seeing the estate's "sale" fall short of expectations is disheartening. It seems less like a sincere attempt to thank the supporters and more like a marketing gimmick. Fans deserve better than a few modest markdowns; a good deal entails more!

That's their entire modus operandi, unfortunately. We saw what Londell and Charles thought of the fans when they gave out USB sticks with low-quality MP3s at Celebration 2023. And those were fans who paid a shitload of money to attend.

Absolutely deplorable! Even when there's NOT a sale, the prices are inSANE. And who really wants a "When Doves Cry" sheetset (I'm exaggerating, but hopefully you know where I'm comin' from.) Where are ALL the albums remastered with bonus tracks? Why are we kept waiting so long for these products while "Emancipation" oven mits (again, an exaggeration) are offered instead? I'm disgusted. Any classic Rock band out there has its entire discography remastered, yet we're still waiting for remastered earlier albums like Dirty Mind with (any) bonus tracks? Why would WB even insult us with reissues (For You, Prince, Dirty Mind & Controversy) instead of the aformentioned treatment? Typical Industry b.s. with its famous labels that so quickly forget that its the fans who REALLY bring in the money. Maybe if we stop buying all the useless crap (towels, blankets, etc...) The Estate will see this up close and personal when their funds begin to go into a very rapid decline. Happy Holidays, ya'll! Merely my purple thoughts on an ice cold, stormy, rainy nite in Southern Maine. xoxo

Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.
