Do "Latino Barbie Doll" and "Fuchsia Light" share the same beat?

I never noticed until today when they happened to come up back 2 back on shuffle.

They sure sound very similar.

cool

that 'doppler' kinda effect on the beat for Fuchsia Light is something that I find mesmerizing.

I have sometimes listened to that song on repeat for 3 or 4 times. Simple, yet, very effective.

obviously the 'Latino Barbie Doll' beat has a lot of percussive elements heaped on top of it,
but to me it sounds like the bones of that structure is the Fuchsia Light beat.

Yes, it was during the time of the sampled break beat over the top of everything - made it all sound just like everything else in the r'n'b/pop charts at the time - I much prefer Prince's own programming. Similar to tracks like The Line and My Pony where there is complexity in simplicity.
