Who's the man that would risk his neck for his brother man?
Who's the cat who won't cop out when there's danger all about?
John Shaft ... Damn Right!

Strange, I belive the songs 'When Doves Cry', 'Kiss' and 'Purple Rain', only were used once in all these lists together.

(correct me if i'm wrong...)

Fans don't seem to be all that crazy about these biggest hits.

Did we hear them too often?

Too popular?

says a lot.

.

Maybe more a more fun and interesting question is, "Top 10 songs 1990-2016?"

(And nothing that was actually written in the 80s, but released later. That's cheating!!)

.

Here's my list (again, in no order)

.

The Sacrifice of Victor

And God Created Woman

The Return of the Bump Squad

The Love We Make

Dark

Pretty Man

I Love U but I Don't Trust U Anymore

It could be that we have heard them so many times that they are like baby food Prince. Those songs are like low-hanging fruit, so songs that are a little deeper in the discography taste better to our more mature palates. Not that the songs ACTUALLY are! lol

How does 1 person create all this music? It's staggering.

We could probably all name a hundred songs we love. Most artists are lucky to get 1 song, maybe 1 album, that really connects & works. I didn't even consider associated tracks for this. Jesus.
