It is with a heavy heart that we have been informed that Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson has passed. We don’t have any further information at this time, but have received confirmation from close friends and family. Please respect their privacy at this time.

Five months after her planned farewell at The Dakota. The event went on without her as she was too ill in June 2024 to attend.

RIP Tyka My immediate thought is that it is sad that we won’t hear any more recollections of you and Prince together as young kids. But more importantly your family needs time to take this in and grieve. Peace and love 🙏 There may or may not be something coming! |

Sad news. I'm struck by the thought that Prince is slipping further out of living memory. It's awful how many of his family, those who knew him, worked with him, are passing away, considering how early/ young Prince left us. |
