I did the 16th of May in Manchester with a front row ticket.

I was sat next two a couple of lovely women one of whom was kind enough to let me know 'Empty Room' was a real banger and I shouldn't sit down.

Prince ended the night releasing a loud of balloons to the heavens as the strings on the long version of Purple Rain played out.

i thought he had years left in him. How wrong I was.

The guy to the right of me was another uber fan who worked in schools. Thanks to both sets of fans (10 years later) for making me feel so welcome.

I was at both the February dates at the Academy, and both at the phones4u arena in May. The academy gigs I felt were superior, and the second night at the academy was almost spiritual.

Same for me.
The Academy shows were something else, being in a smaller venue.
That 2nd night was 1 of the best nights of my life. To be 20 feet away from him playing likes of Bambi and Endorphinmachine was like an outer body experience
