There was a British comedian who detailed a dinner with himself Prince and Brian F. Very funny story. It's on an episode of Graham Norton if anyone is bothered to look it up on YouTube.

That was David Williams whilst on holiday on the Turks and Caicos, and he tried to sing a Florence and the Machine track “You’ve Got the Love” to them, which both apparently didn’t get. Salma Hayek was on the show too and elaborated about how Prince was actually really funny.

Edit: Originally put up YouTube link but realised it might be a too sensitive subject at the moment for One Direction fans, apologies and thought with people affected 🙏

Gosh I love Bryan Ferry... just hearing him, in his time and age talking... love that man.

And nice to find out they appreciate each other's work.

So he likes Prince's 'Cream'? strange and ffunny...

But he was spot on about the "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" performance.

Thanks for the link to this interview.

The interviewer by the way is also very interesting.

Well, it woud go like this :

Prince would write on a paper napkin the same tired 'Wreckastow' joke,

simply because Bryan never saw the movie.

Princetopher acting all up, loud and juicy,

right there in Bryan's face, just the same as he did with Tricky.

(Tricky here would be Mr. Hayes or Larry G.)

Bryan, obviously like a real gentleman would be 'upset' and politefully say he finds this pretty annoying and obnoxious,

calling for the check, respectfully straightening his tie,

and putting his chair back under the table,

as he would leave both fools in loud laughter,

throwing his napkin in his soup.

  • Don't post trolls/ads/spam/get-rich-quick schemes/other junk.
Don't make posts that are inflammatory just to get people riled up. Don't post useless off-topic stuff. Even if a silly, no-purpose post seems harmless and fun, don't be surprised if you get a warning and the message locked/deleted. You might think it's cute, but Moderators who have to wade through tons of posts like this, don't. In general, don't post advertisements. Advertising may be allowed in certain circumstances; ask a moderator privately before posting. If a post is mostly just an ad for another website, it will likely be removed. In general, post if you have something to say. If you want to start a new thread, make it worthwhile. Don't be lazy and give a 1-sentence "what do you think about X?". At least explain your position, why, etc... make it interesting to read; you're more likely to get quality responses.

@Rap - The Graham Norton show with the British comedian David Walliams talking about dinner with Prince and Bryan Ferry, also had Salam Hayek say a little about her friendship with Prince and how funny he was. Liam Payne, of One Direction who died very recently in circumstances that have generated quite a few rumours, was on that show too, and mentioned something that is possibly speculated to be behind things. Hence why when I realised I pulled the link because of sympathetic reasons. Feel free to find for yourself the bit of the show on YouTube.
