Man, this thing is depressing - But. I find myself posting a lot as a sort of therapy - I think I'm working my mental exit strategy from my Prince obsession.. onto other matters. I don't know whether others are doing the same (i.e. this being group therapy) or whether it's just me.... but I have firmlucome to the conclusion that this is group therapy for me

My next problem is... what the hell do I do with all my Symbol stickers and t-shirts? (I have them on my laptops, my bags, my phones, my keys, my wallet - Everywhere - Maybe I'll just hold on to them - Prince has been such a big part of my life since the 80s, and very much after his death also - But it *feels* like it's all finally over - This feels like a second mourning

I get your frustartions but maybe just relax and listen to what you already have, it's not the end of the world or anything

Gorillaz are still big? Is it the cartoon gimmick? Because literally those guys came out 23 years ago.

Yeah, that's the funny thing - Gorillaz were my jam back in the day, and they have translated well to this generation - They're still producing music and I think it's the eclectic nature of their music that plays so well.

That being said, my son won't go anywhere near Prince, and I think it's probably due to how Prince comes across - I can't put my finger on it - It's like that crazy whiny pervy old man (and that Lovesexy picture on Prince.org just doesn't help )

I get it, I'm also over 50 (51 to be exact) but getting all worked up over Prince was 'fun' when he was alive but now it';s just not something to care about. He's not around anymore to tour so that stressful thing has gone and now it's just waiting on whatever will get released eventually, no biggie. There is more than enough released and unreleased material to listen to even tho you proabbaly already have

I have terabytes of stuff - More than I can handle.. and so much of it AFTER Prince died - But you're right, it was worth getting excited when Prince was the one calling the shots - Now it's just money people haplessly bumping into each other!!!

People have lost sight in contemporary times that you're supposed to integrate hyperbole in online interactions.

It's not real life. Despite modern society's disdain for the written word, the written word is primarily how we express ourselves online, so why not make it more energetic/? It's more compelling to read that way.

Lately there's been this movement to "evolve" online interactions into this chill cafe-esque "grounded" discussion like we're in the waiting room at our psychoanalysts office. It's boring and zones out readers.

Either keep it compelling or follow your own advice and go out and fly a kite with the fam.
