Of all the stupid choices "they" are making, not having something really cool by Prince on EVERY RSD is absolutely up there at the top. It's absolutely one of the best opportunites to hook people that already spend money on music to spend some on Prince.

In one of his tweets he said that he thinks releasing live material is essatial for him with a SDE package.

And this is apartenly keeping things up for now.

So no 83' PR pre-show...

And they can't remaster it without the Estate's permission it seems without renegociating a deal with them for the ownership of the new master.
(I guess something Prince didn't know back in the day or else we could had remasters back in the 90s and he maybe could have his masters back then?)

RSD would be a fun,easy way to get more Prince music released to the fans but as usual,the estate is clueless.They seem to have no direction or fresh ideas.

They could have reprinted the "Purple Rain" maxi-single on purple splatter or a picture disc. LOL

Since the Purple Rain Deluxe did not have a vinyl release, they could release Prince And The Revolution - Purple Rain: From The Vault 2LP. It wouldn't have violated the deal with Netflix and it would give us an opportunity to get something while no-longer "previously unreleased", at least it would be 1st time on vinyl.

Or how about another limited edition Black Album physical release for the 30th anniversary of it's original physical release.

It's so easy that if these idiots can't figure it out they're not doing it right.

You can suss out Sharon's decisions in all of these bad things. Too much "holy prayer" and "Praise the Lord, the taxes have been paid" -- like that is something momentous. It just meant she and her buddies L&C got to run things by shoving everyone else aside.

Tell us again how much Prince's catalog sold for. Pennies in their rush to close it up and take charge.

As simple as that ....with the new management....it is very easy to understand for real ...Prince and what he left behind for the future generations (His material from the vault) is lost .....as simple as that .....as long as u know who....will be at the head quater of the management of the Estate...i can't see something good to emerge from all this shit !!

Am I the only one here who gets excited about "1st time on vinyl" releases? I have to believe that can't be the case. Surely there are enough vinyl enthusiasts among the Prince fandom to make such releases profitable until the netflix fiasco is resolved and unreleased material can come out.

I would even like to see the SDE's split up as individual vinyl releases as the huge box sets are priced out of range for those of us on a budget. I want to see a From The Vault series of LPs, each vault cd as an individual volume 2LP. I would buy every one.
