Black Friday Record Store Day and….. Nothing by Prince So I was excited to see that Black Friday Record Store Day was announced… but again… no Prince.  Another wasted opportunity by the estate. So sad. |

So sad.The current management have failed, and I’d lump Primary Wave in with Londell and Spicer in that. Prince for me was all about the music - I don’t give a shit about Air bnb, a cruise, barely interested in a jukebox musical or stage show of purple rain. Even the Netflix lifestyle doc is a bit lame. Prince Vault has lost its interest now it doesn’t show what’s updated each day. The org isn’t what it was due to zero new official or leaked music. What’s the fecking point, eh! There may or may not be something coming! |

Of all the stupid choices "they" are making, not having something really cool by Prince on EVERY RSD is absolutely up there at the top. It's absolutely one of the best opportunites to hook people that already spend money on music to spend some on Prince. Don't hate your neighbors. Hate the media that tells you to hate your neighbors. |

Somehow i would even agree/beg for a Frankensteined version of anything unheard yet, just to have ...'something' ... - What I don't understand is that they aparently can't release unreleased music? How come they could release that "Silver Tongue" version last summer? - Enough oportunities in a celebrative mode, PR, Batman, Batdance, Musicology, LotusFlower... We'll sure won't get anything for Xmas as well.

I know right.
We only know for sure that the Estate is balls deep in the PR musical. So I guess in 2025 we will have that , the music from PR sung by the cast and overprized Cellie.

That's cuz Londell is a liar and full of shit. As I've said before, they have no interest in releasing unreleased music anymore. I think we'll get something at some point, but it probably will take a few years between releases from now on. [Edited 10/3/24 0:49am] U are now an official member of the New Power Generation

I think the estate (Londell) is having trouble agreeing anything with anyone. There's always another deal to be done, another negotiation on price, and nothing ever gets agreed. |

In one of his tweets he said that he thinks releasing live material is essatial for him with a SDE package. And this is apartenly keeping things up for now. So no 83' PR pre-show... I'm rather surprised, regardless of what the Estate wants to do, that Warners didn't mark the 35th anniversary of Batman with an SDE (or is dealing with the Estate for vault material from those sessions putting a block on that?).I suppose we now have to wait till 2029 for the 40th. |
