Nice to see Parade and Batman get some love as well. Their lists are usually kind of shit these days, but this one is fun. Some great soundtracks on there that I forgot about. I wish soundtracks would make a comeback. They’re kind of a lost art.

Batman #86

"Other songs like midtempo groover “Vicki Waiting” and “The Arms of Orion,” a melodramatic Sheena Easton duet, seemed to have very little to do with the Caped Crusader"

I hate when some so-called art critic write shit like that.
Vicki Vale is one of the leading character of the movie the guy obviously didn't see, and there are Batman name-dropping and references all over the song ( Joker, Gotham City, etc.)

yeah nowadays,do movies even bother to release soundtracks? It seems like it's not even a thing anymore.I miss the days when movies had great soundtracks.Growing up,some of my favorite soundtracks are: Superfly,Saturday Night Fever,Car Wash and of course,Purple Rain.

You should get out sometimes.

What about Frozen, Guardians of the Galax soundtracks etc. who were tremendous successes?
What about M Night Shyamalan's Trap ? The director and his daughter have had the idea of the movie watching Purple Rain. She then wrote and recorded 14 tracks for the movie/ soundtrack.
