Oh my god. So many Prince Associates who die so young. Is it a curse? RIP, sweet Cat Glover. You were the best dancer Prince ever had. Man, she had energy! And I always loved her rapping. Cat! We need you to RIP! I don't know much about her but outside of her work with Prince from 1987 - 1988 but damn, that woman could move. 60 is far too young to die. I hope her family are coping well with the loss.

Way too young! That sucks, she brought so much energy to Prince's stage shows during those years

Princes best dancer (sorry mayte). Incredible energy and stage presence. Doubt the sott film would have been as good without her there. Also, less discussed, but she was the best rapper prince had (ie the best fit for his music, sorry Tony m, tc ellis, scrap d). Id take cat over chuck d, eve, etc too. Not saying shes better than chuck but for prince songs, yes.

Very sad. I was watching some Lovesexy and SOTT era clips on YouTube this morning, and it's kind of shocking that Cat, Boni and Prince are all gone!

Great artist : she could dance, act, and rap in the same time. She follows a lot of training for Prince stages, then was dropped way too soon. What a waste of talent, but Prince was always looking for something new.

Aw, man, that is so sad. Cat's "Alphabet St." rap was a huge part of my '88 summer. It's burned into my DNA. . And her work in the SOTT movie is exceptional. . RIP Cat. You made a big impression on a lot of people.

Oh no. I'm so sorry to hear this. I had the pleasure of seeing her do her thing with Prince on the LoveSexy tour front row. She was one helluva dancer. RIP Cat.

Hearing this news I was lost for words but read this fabulous article. RIP Cat, your contributions to life and Prince are fantastic. Peace and love to anyone on the org who knew Cat personally 💜 https://www.theguardian.c...est-in-him There may or may not be something coming!

Such sad news. Cat was much more then a dancer, she was a very vital part of Prince's camp & prensence in these days. The SOTT & Lovesexy era was when I became an addict for life, and Cat played a large part in all of that. I think also her musical influence on Prince is not recognised enough. I remember reading an article a long time ago (I couldn't locate it now in the internet) that it was Cat who introduced P to Chicago House music, not only via her "Music is the key" rap, which P didn't know beforehand, but with actually taking him to clubs in her hometown Chicago. That of course influenced his next musical steps, which were the Batman album and the myth-enshrouded original Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic album. (I would love to read that article again, if anyone still has it.) Eye wish U heaven - and Dance on!

Madonna prob played a big part in sexy dance routines in pop shows too but cat was really special. And prince was his funniest/most charming dancing with her.

R.I.P. Very talented performer. She will live on with Prince's music and in our memories.

I'm so sorry to hear this. She was with him for such a short time, but what an impact she made. I wouldn't be the Prince fan that I am without the Lovesexy era, and she was a key player. I hope they are both together somewhere, continuing where they left off.

Sad news, she was my favourite dancer of his, and the SOTT and Lovesexy tours were stunning. Can't agree with her rapping though. Infact I don't like any of the rapping on Prince's music. Alphabet St should of just been released as the single edit.

sure, but what i mean, is of the raps in his music, hers fit the best. big masculine voices like tc ellis, tony m did not fit as well.

Didn't she had something to do with the XTC pil/Prince/and Anthony Kiedis? - Was she also interviewed for the Netflix doc? That would be her last connection with the Prince world... - She was a fine appearance in 1987-88, like someone said here, she is also in my DNA as the Alphabet st. rapper, the magnificent dancer, a fun and energetic person. - I still have her cut-out stand in my house, made for that first 'SOTT' single release, the one where she wears that big black mirror glass heart. 60 is not all that young. You guys are always looking for conspiracy theories. The average person dies between the ages of 60-80 of natural causes. Before that, it's considered "too young" but if you live beyond 80, you're blessed. [Edited 9/26/24 5:48am]
