Purple Rain film on The Rewatchables podcast Hey All There is a brilliant weekly podcast called The Rewatchables where the hosts rewatch a classic film every week and then discuss. It's a great podcast anyway, especially if you are a movie fan that is into classic 80s and 90s stuff.
The latest episode is 2 hours dedicated to Purple Rain. Its a really great listen - it's actually very interesting to hear from a couple of people who are not just super fans and there are some nice insights on its cultural relevance etc...

Back when I had an internet radio show, a few friends and I gathered, and watched Purple Rain (and later Under The Cherry Moon) and kind of did an audio commentary for it. No pausing. Just watching it all the way thru and talked about it. It was fun. If you have a problem with me, text me. If you don't have my number, you don't know me well enough to have a problem with me. |

I actually rewatched PR last week. The new remastered BluRay. And I realised the last time I watched it was probably on VHS!  It was like watching a different film, lots I’d never noticed and the audio was so much better… obviously! |
