If y'all keep complaining, no one will want to perform his music. He will be erased.
I don't think that a few people complaing on the Org will prevent musicians from covering Prince's music.
Also: even if nobody covers Prince anymore, Prince's music will still exist and it will still be heard by millions of people. Well, at least a couple of songs, anyway.

This wasn't for US. Look at all those younger people in the audience
You're right: this definitely was not for us hardcore fans. The more I think about it, the more I don't know what they could have played in that specific context. I guess I'm just sick and tired of "Purple Rain".
Having The Revolution therre and then they playing America could have been funny and more in line with what Prince probbaly would do (not that he would ever endorse any party or play at these types of events given his views on the politics of politics unless of course it was a big pay day ) and this would of course be a sweaty and pumping jam instead of Jon Legend and his corny no-energy Prince karaoke act repeating what corny Bruno Mars did some years ago.

I hate when people argue mediocre covers keep the "legacy" alive when they do the complete opposite.
Nobody's getting into Prince based on these tepid karaoke takes. They're lunging back to their usual Spotify playlists like the speed of light, |

Prince doesn't need mediocre to bad performers to keep his legavcy alive. His legacy is solid becuae of the respect he and his work and his work ethic has in the industry.
it's like saying Elvis, the Beatles, Bowie or MJ need other performeers to keep there legacies alive, that doesn't make sense and Prince ranks equal to them. the sad thing is is that becaue his legacy is solid the Estate don't need to release any new music to keep it running because the money keeps on rolling in and because the SDEs don't make there money back why should they releae more ? and don't say because we teh fans want it because we aren't relevant to them as long as 'Fams' keep throwing absurd amounts of $ to them for every celebration and tacky clothing piece, pillow case or whatever apparel. |

John Legend sucked, but can we talk about how ridiculous Sheila looked after knocking over the percussion set she only half-heartedly pretended to play for about 20 seconds total? |

Maybe The Time should have been invited to play "Donald Trump (Black Version)" ?

better to not talk about it, let it fade into oblivion, don't feed it.
that's much better, stronger. "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts" (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972) |

He's like a one-trick pony, but you don't even like the one trick. I like John Legend, especially his first two albums which were very different but equally great to my ears. But I do get what you’re saying, he’s kind of polarizing for some reason, like a Phil Collins, some people like him and some can’t stand him. He’s everywhere too, which makes him harder to tune out. But on the music alone, I understand where you’re coming from, he’s just one of those artists. |
