While I would of course enjoy having it in pristine quality, I never understood the fascination so many fans have always had for this unsegued intro. It never amounted to anything special for me (though I love JiR passionately, regardless of which intro it uses), but obviously, it does for many people. . Can't speak for others, but for me, I detest the segued intros. It makes the start to imo one of the best songs Prince ever made always feel and taste bad. Basically, the segued intro ruins the first half of the song as it is needed to wash away the bitter taste of the segue. . Now, I agree that the actual intro isn't that special, but it isn't bad. That is why I am looking forward to finally hearing a pristine version of just Joy in Repetition, without any palate destroying intros. Paisley Park is in your heart - Love Is Here! | |
