Kendrick Euphoria Prince ref? Has this been mentioned?
On Kendrick’s Euphoria there’s a BACKMASKED msg quoting LPWM’s end rap. Seeing as K is a big P fan it seems clearly intentional - a double nod because of the backwards recording a La Darling Nikki, BIAS etc. https://youtu.be/5-Q0AdE_...frJnO1-_X3 (Pretty sure the Stop at the end is a sample from Batdance, no?) K is known to be influenced by P so it’s not a big stretch. He fills his music with Easter eggs and hidden references (as P sometimes did). I’m not saying it’s a big deal just a little nod. ELO put secret messages in their songs, and even named an album Secret Messages mocking the backmasking scare created by the Christian church in the early 80s. Randy Stonehill put a backward message right in the middle of a song. Petra started an album with a blatant backward message.

The best example of these type of threads was maintaining Taylor Swift was a huge 90s Prince fan because she used the phrase "Days of Wild" buried deep in a lyric sheet. |

Whatever. Did you even read my reply? Obviously just using backmasking isn’t automatically Prince-related. What’s your point? When the backmasking is a line basically identical to a Prince spoken lyric and when the song ends identically to a major Prince song, then the backmasking is relevant. Anyway, u all taking this wayyy too serious. I’m pointing out a pretty clear nod coz it’s interesting. Not making any major point or claim about it. U all getting ur knickers in a knot. | |

OMFG! On 'That 90's Show', Kitty referenced Carmen Electra on episode 4 of the second season right around the six minute mark. Could have been five minutes and thirty seconds, though!
