The interesting thing here is which edits, remixes etc. were chosen. Note the inclusion of a version of... "Peach"!

What's crazy is that the person on Reddit got it for $15 (allegedly).

Peach: it was recorded in June 1992. The most recent track on "Love Symbol" ("I Wanna Melt With U") was recorded in "Spring 1992", but the remixes (MNIP, Sexy MF, etc.) were done in Summer 1992.

"Peach" is more related to the "Gold Nigga" album (as it appeared on a early configuration), but if you insist on finding an album / box set to include it, I guess "Love Symbol" kind of makes sense.

I don't think it means anything for a potential release. As far as we know, the project was cancelled. This particular 4-LP version has probably been in the hands of a few lucky collectors since early 2023.

The rumor is that a (bootleg) label might release the previously unreleased tracks from "Love Symbol" at some point, but I don't know if it's very likely.

I can't say it is an exciting release...

I’m wondering what vault tracks will surface. Regarding the videos : I expect “3 Chains O’ Gold” (I would prefer music videos to get in full “The Continental”, “I wanna Melt With You”, “2 Whom It May Concern”) from the VHS/Laserdic (as they did for “Diamonds And Pearls” SDE”).

Back in March 2023 three releases leaked: 2LP Remastered of D&P and Symbol, plus 4LP Deluxe of D&P. Clearly this 4LP Deluxe of Symbol belongs to that same set. Note the 2023 copyright date.

This is not a "preview" of something we'll get this year. This year is PR SDE. It's gonna get announced in the next week or so, and probably released of September or October. That is it for this year. They're not suddenly gonna put out an SDE of Symbol in the mon,tsh after that.

Note that we're eight months since the D&P release, and all we've gotten is three incompetently released Musicology B-Sides -- which also did not result ina Musicology SDE.

That "Peach" edit is just "titties" replaced by a guitar riff.

Plus, if someone ripped it and uploaded it, there would be no exact -remaster- as it's on vinyl.

Apparently, there were 61 unreleased tracks planned for D&L SDE on 6 CDs. 35 for D&P and 26 for . The initial plan was to release the D&L set, but there was a change of plans and they decided to give both albums separate SDEs instead. But for some reason the estate cancelled the SDE.

I don't think they cancelled it, I think they just shelved it for a later date and maybe tweak it like they did with D&P SDE. Wouldn't be that smart businesswise to release both expensive SDE's at the same time. I think we'll get it soon enough.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this IS the bootleg. The official one would either be just the album, or the SDE… and this is neither.

They do this every time. Along with SDE you get DE that only includes the album and the single tracks, as well as new remastered standard editions of just the album.
