To be fair, the outdoor tent was done last minute because there were heavy rain predictions for a few days so that was a good look...because it did rain while we under the tent. But when it got hot there were no fans inside so ventilation was poor.
Morris Day show was just so shocking cause all flyers made it seem like he was the headliner but he was second to last...and NPG closed it out.
"You know, this is funky but I wish he'd play like he used to, old scragglyhead son of a...*smack* OOH!"

I've been a fan for over 40 years, but I have no interest in "celebration".
Usually complaints are a bit overblown at these types of events, because for every complaint, someone else has a praise. But it just sounds like these celebrations are worse and worse managed with each passing year.
I'd love to be interested enough to attend, but until it is confirmed that Apollonia (and the other members of A6) and Jill Jones and Sheila E and Morris Day (and The Time, or whatever their name is at the time), etc. are definite headliners/performers/buy-ins, I'll keep my travel money.
Still haven't visited Paisley Park, but oh well... I've definitely contributed my fair share to the "Prince-ly improvement fund".
Maybe one day they will decide to hire a reputable event planner. (Because I can't believe they have with the complaints that I hear every year.) It's not as if there aren't 1,000 near seamless muliti-day corporate/entertinment events that take place in every mid-to-large sized US city every single year.
I've been to SEVERAL multiday festivals/conventions/seminars over the years that were an absolute pleasure to attend. I suspect that celebration is put together "on the cheap" or by "somebody who knows somebody who can do this." (SPOILER: They can't -- at least not well -- that's why they do it for cheap or for free!!!)
