Sheila E. Says She Was Refused Access to Prince's Paisley Park Studio on His Would-Be 66th Birthday

"Prince collaborator Sheila E. claims she was refused access to the late icon's Paisley Park studio in an Instagram video posted on Friday"
"We did offer for you to come in and film in the soundstage or other areas, but we couldn’t allow filming in the studios without prior knowledge and planning," Paisley Park responded"

Ancient Egyptians postulated 7 souls.
Top soul, and the first to leave at the moment of death, is Ren, the secret name...

Free Sheila, she did nothing wrong. She is sane and pure at heart... and always has been! An angel sent down to earth. #Justice4Sheila #WhenWillTheMadnessEnd? #KooKoo

OK--Sheila & Prince were friends, colleagues, collaborators and even lovers, but all that now remains are the memories, that special piece of real estate, and the realities of the business that now governs the property.
>
If Sheila wants to film all corners of the complex or whatever, she SHOULD be required to put her interest in writing for submission to Estate management's consideration, and hash out whatever business particulars need to be made for both parties to proceed accordingly in her pursuit of special filming privileges on site.
>
This idea is reality and seems logical and appropriate to me, but with that being said I hope that Sheila didn't get too shaken up over that day's events. She's a great lady and probably one of the more enthusiastic and positive associates of PRN to bear witness to the guy's history.

We expected it. That whole CBS special was about her. She was wearing his clothes, had his prince all over her gear, suddenly had a tattoo, and tried to edge out The Revolution playing at all. It was Jimmy Jam that had to jerk a knot in her tail about it. She acts like she's the grieving widow. She needs to grab a seat. Grab them all.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

She wasn't refused access to be in the studio. Just refused access to do a quick video check in/livestream etc

The only thing that would be less surprising than this is if a news report came out saying the Estate has devloved into petty in-fighting with no releasese imminent.

Remember, she made The Revolution AUDITION to appear in that CBS special (she didn't want them there).
NOW, she's demanding her "old drum set" back that apparently was on display at some point at Paisley.

Too much drama. NO ONE could show up unnannounced (especially on one of the busiest days of the year) and demand access to Studio A or B to film a video...with a small crew.
She DID enter. People saw her. Apparently, she interacted wityh no one and just left to do parking lot drama.

Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

Iirc that drumkit was sold by Sheila herself in 2005....the new owner sold it to Paisley Park later....so she has no rights to it at all

That is actually so juicy. It really lays out a good timeline of her utter fuckery. I have the screenshots of her last tweets about Prince somewhere, as well as Apollonia's lambasting her.

I don't know about her spot being given to Graham or whatever, but I think the Grammy situation and the "Lemon Cake" fuckery shows her disregard for anything but herself. She looked fucking stupid wearing his clothes, damn near pretending to be him.

Her place in 80s Princedom. That's it. I don't care that she was back around during 3121 or whatever. Prince had clearly had enough of her tomfoolery.

I love that the article mentions "grieving widow" which I started saying early on. (Not saying they took it from me, not saying they didn't. lol ) But it's true. The only thing she's grieving is - as Apollonia said - being relevant.

As far as the drumkit, if she sold it - too bad, heifer. "It's not yours anymore."

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

It was never her kit anyway, WB pai d for it through Prince.
The guy who bought it said the papers only mentioned WB and Prince and not Sheila E. so jsts becuause she played on it doesn't mean its hers.
Just because shje played on that Tama study kit a 't Paard show in '88 doesn't mean it's hers.

So, then why is she so insistent that it is her's?! lol There's a serious disconnect here... razz

This is all true, and she's certainly deserving of criticism.

But at the same time, I will give her credit because she's doing more than the Estate to promote Prince's legacy. Yes, she's mixing in a lot of self-promotion along with that. But I'll tolerate a bit of self-promotion if it helps keep Prince's name in spotlight. Until the Estate starts doing more, this is all we have.

I'm actually with Sheila for whatever happens since Prince's passing.

She's really the only other one besides Lisa, Ssuussaahhnnaahh & Wendy who litterally kicked him in the ass to go further!

Back in the day, if Prince did a step, Sheila did it with him!

When i saw the 2010 show in Berlin, i couldn't stop laughing & smiling because their cohesion was just soooo good!!!

Whatever drama has happened since then has floated right by me.

Well, I'll say on a larger scale, "doing more" is subjective. Feelings aren't facts. We feel like they should "do more," but we're not on the inside. We don't know what they're talking about, working on, fleshing out, etc. We'd love to know, but we simply don't.

And Sheila E. is no consolation prize in the perceived lack of promotion on the estate's part. We don't need her to promote anything. She wasn't around for W2A package, SOTT deluxe (was she?), or D&P. Her showing up would've done what? Validate her delusions of being the heir apparent?

Sorry not sorry, but we do have more than that.

I really never thought I'd have such angst against someone in the Prince camp, but goddamn if she just doesn't keep rubbing salt in the wound. She's no ally.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Totally agree with this. Most things I can dismiss, but the delusion is too much. Dishonesty is one of the worst traits.

I suppose I could've boiled my vitriol about her down to that. Dishonesty. I hate people lying to me or liars in general. We get things wrong; we're human. But to lie with such intention and aggression is beyond, to me.

She knows she's lying and playing people. She knows the general public and media doesn't know that Prince called her a psychopath, and refused any contact with her in the last 5 or so years of his life. No, they see her on tour, playing with him at times, and think they were besties 24/7. She uses that, manipulates it to her favor.

That is dishonest behavior.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.
