i know there are no videos or pictures.
my guess is the hohner, but i'd appreciate any info.

any info on this night would be nice...

Levi Seacer was on Michael Dean's show a few years ago.

Alan Leeds has done interviews...

No one has ever asked specifically about this night.

i think it was shown by housequake that this photo was from the london rehearsal 1988

although model c would be my second guess after the hohner

I used to think it was a Cloud. After hearing the Anna Stesia solo on the Model C, I would say that now.

According to Neversin (from a thread years ago), he used the Model C guitar on "Just My Imagination". And instead of playing the Blue Angel that night "he played that black cloud with the wooden neck he used on the Parade Tour..."

That was from his 'hook, line, sinker' posts to lure a scammer who said he had the video of it and 'confirmed' evrything from Neversin's posts only to see that he was fooled.
Neversin told (and showed) some people that he played the Blue Angel that entire night also for Just My imagination.

After the photo from the London rehearsal an (said) actual photo emerged. I must have it somewhere, will find out how to upload and post it later. It indeed has Prince playing the Blue Angel.

When Neversin confirmed this, was this through a (this) picture or is there also video as far as you know?

I found them (one with model c one with Blue angel), not the London studio ones because Eric Leeds is in them and Eric was absent in The Hague that day.

But how do I upload them… 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

sometimes I hear Questlove podcasts where he slips in ideas of how great D'Angelo and the Vanguard or Soulquarians are. Just imagine them pulling off what Prince did that night? I never saw a pic of that show and if the one above is true, i'm amazed he was wearing the Lovesexy suit. It blows me a way that a guy who was so into the look, could also bring the skill he did and did thhat night!! My Goodness do we ever need a documentary.

Personally I always felt the performance was scrappy and a bit overpraised by fans. That was a good band and I love the show of course, but it seems weird to compare to those other artists for no obvious reason.

D'angelo, the Vanguard and the entire "soulquarian" roster of artists were/are all incredible in their own right, their body of work from that era speaks for itself. Unf*ckwithable imho.

Tbh there's so much gain, reverb, delay, vibrato and wah on that solo it scarcely matters what the guitar was smile It's such a wet signal. Definitely sounds like an active humbucker to my ears, there's no way it's the Hohner. I'd guess cloud, happy to defer to others who know better.
