Primary Wave owns 42% of the estate - . 156*.42 = 65.52

I am pretty sure you can't compare this two cases. As far as I see in Queens case: Queen owned and sold 100% of their publishing rights + 100% of their recording rights (masters) + 100% Queen Trademark (merchandising etc.)
What did The Prince estate exactly own? Not 100 % of all rights for sure!
for example - publishing for Prince is still operated by Universal Music. There are stll Prince albums reissued by Warner and Sony. And even the D+P SDE was operated by NPG Records which is still operated Warner.
So who knows what rights and how many % of them exactly The Estate owned/owns? I am pretty sure we don't have a clue [Edited 6/28/24 2:02am] [Edited 6/28/24 2:02am] | |
