Personally, I'd like to see three releases per year with a set schedule. For example; Every March - A one or two disc set containing vault material from the mid 90s up to his passing. Every June - A Live DVD/CD combo of a concert from the mid 90s up to his final shows. Every October - A Super Deluxe Edition of each of his albums from For You right up to the Love Symbol album, featuring all available outtakes from each album, live shows, DVD (if available). Also, I'd like to see proper remasters of associated artists albums to celebrate their own anniversaries. Now, if the estate did all that, I'd be truly delighted. But I know they're not going to do any of that. But I'd settle for maybe an update on what their actual plans are. If they have any. I'd be happy if they were to just let people know what to expect in the medium to long term. I think they might have a plan but refuse to share it with us (thats why there's lack of communication) and don't seem to care about our opinion and what we really want. Instead they upset the fans like last year when the estate refused to released all the celebration tracks for instance, but instead we only got 2 songs and it was like a slap in the face. And when they tried to get us excited about an announcement for Musicology, but we only got United States of Division. This move really backfired on them on social media, with fans feeling upset and disappointed. Instead of building a wall between us and them, they should be more open and communicate with us. I think that's the only way forward, so we can preserve Prince's legacy together instead of arguing. [Edited 5/25/24 18:18pm] I'm still really confused why they haven't released those Celebration tracks from last year. For God's sake if they sell them for a dollar/pound/euro/whatever each I'll buy them. I'm sure many of us here would. I get that they wanted a certain feeling of exclusivity about them so they can prioritise the people who paid the big money to go there but come on, I think enough time has passed to give the rest of us a chance to hear these songs without making their priority customers feel short changed.

I LOLd at "strategic".
If this version of the Estate was remotely strategic, they would have done something with the anniversary of When Doves Cry to build up momentum for the Purple Rain SDE.

As I said, we have lawyers in charge. They're more into in-fightings, litigations, trials, etc...These are their core competencies. Music is the least of their concerns. And last but not least, they despise us (the fans).
