Did u know "Emancipation" went gold 2013 in UK? For me it was completely new that "Emancipation" received gold in the UK in july 2013. I mean the album reached only #18 and stayed only 7 weeks in the charts. Here's the link: https://www.bpi.co.uk/award/9323-2697-2 | |

That's news to me, and also hasn't been updated on Wikipedia.
Does the UK certifying system count one sale as three units (like I believe the US does)? |

I did always think that multi disc sets counted as one unit for each disc in the UK but I can't find anything to confirm that at the moment. The orger formerly known as https://prince.org/profil...nglishGent |

No. As of 2018, Emancipation sold 110k copies in the UK. Surely around 10k more from the 2020 reedition 2 top 20 singles from that album, including Betcha By Golly Wow, who sold more than 100k copies there too. |
