First role of the estate should be to communicate.

They don't communicate now; And if they do, we all know the (detailed) mistakes are piling up.

They should at least communicate on a weekly level, about what they're doing, working on, what they discover, for US the real fanbase.

With good communitcation and interesting news, we as fans also are a part of their promotional machine.

Only they don't get that.

We can also spread the word via social media, about a 'waw-discovery', something like that.

It would make us all SO DAMN proud to be part of the Prince machine again, instead of NOT communicating AT ALL. And worse, wrong communication on top of that.

They handle it as if Prince's music and vault material is like a rare pre-historical discovery, a new found holy grail.

The only thing they do, is milking Prince's legacy. They make it TikTokable, Instagrammable, with the same old lame hit-songs known by basically everyone.

These so called social media Prince fans that only can name two song titles; Purple Rain and Kiss.

Look at all the reactions on instagram posts, Youtube posts, facebook posts, read what people write.

Recently someone asked if Prince would come and play soon in his/her country, not even knowing he is dead.

These 2,5 seconds, swipe-to-the-next-post-fans know nothing besides fake crying, purple hearts, and the copy-paste word 'genius' for the best.

These are the ones The estate focuses on right now.

Those who buy purple boots, bedsheets, candles, etc

I see the estate is still promoting the D&P SDE package via instagram...

I would be fine with it if that meant more money for SDE releases, NPGMC-like services, giving more obscure eras (1996-2016, say) the attention they deserve, etc.

The Estate is a bit like Google nowadays. They seem a bit too focused on the money part of the equation. 15-20 years ago, Google were already an advertisement company, but at least they used some of their money to finance crazy projects that benefited the world. Things like Google Books and others.

Haha, you're flogging a dead horse here. I've explained to rap several times how to make a link clickable, it's just wilfull ignorance at this point. They probably post many things that might be worthy of discussion but if people can't click on it, they won't bother.

There is so much more that the estate should be doing to help keep Prince's art and legacy alive, but all they can be bothered to do is post about album/single anniversaries on social media. Nothing insightful or new, just the occasional reminders that X album came out Y years ago. It's so frustrating that Prince fans are in a worse position now than they were back in 2017. The previous heads of the estate were kind of on a roll and starting to find their footing as far as releases go, but then the change-over turned everything into a clusterfuck, and now the estate is regressing instead of progressing.
