All known information on "Bloody Mouth"

BLOODY MOUTH is an unreleased song recorded in late 1987 with sax overdubs by Eric Leeds on November 15th, 1987. It was included AS THE FOURTH TRACK on a 9/25/88 configuration of GRAFFITI BRIDGE. A portion of Cat's rap, later used in Alphabet Street, IS ON THIS SONG (1)

"An utempo track that shares alot in common with "Alphabet St." since there are at least three parts sampled from the track that wound up in 'Alphabet St."(The "put your love down baby" part) "Im gonna hit U in your Bloody Mouth"(2)

"A nice little song, tracks like this are pleasant surprises and (something something) the vault" (3)

One day we will all be free indeed...

Wasn't BLOODY MOUTH recorded during the same sessions as HEY HANNIGAN and later given to Sheryl Crow for consideration for her album THE GLOBE SESSIONS album??

You can not classify Sheryl Crow as a "protege." She was well established by the time she worked with Prince. And he was the one that covered her song.

Prince let Larry Grahmam re-record it and erase the intial tracking as Prince had in his own words "move on". Also T.C. Ellis makes a very welcome return, as he lays down not only 1 but 3 rap verses plus overdubs. Release date TBC...

wink))))

There's also a version where Prince uses heavy samples from Wedding Feast, Purple And Gold, plus he gave the lead vocals to Celine Dion pitched like Camille, and all drums replaced by only Sheila's 1-tone cowbell, and an annoying long police siren.
