I think it's interesting that he tried to keep it as close to the original as possible when converting to Vicki Waiting, even parts that might have been considered throwaway, like "uh-huh, uh-huh..." The orger formerly known as Schlomo. |

This is fascinating. I've always said Prince was an expert at recycling himself (reworking old songs, sampling himself, using single tracks from the multitracks for a new song, etc.). Witnessing him going through that process, from "Anna Waiting" to "Vicki Waiting" is fantastic (pun intended). |
